Faridabad: Three missing minor girls rescued
Three minor girls, who were missing from different localities here for some time, were rescued from a house in Uttrakhand on Friday.
Police acted on a specific tip-off and busted a gang of traffickers and arrested the main accused on the spot. A massive hunt has been launched to trace the other accused.
A missing person’s case was registered at Old Faridabad police station on July 29, 2012, regarding one of the girls and a similar case was registered on February 19 this year in which the complainant feared their daughter had been kidnapped.
The third girl had gone missing from Hardoi, where she had gone to her relative’s house.
Police raided the house in Pilukhanwa township in Masuri and rescued all the three girls — all originally from Old Faridabad area — on Friday.
The police also arrested one of the accused, identified as Irfan of Sant Nagar in Old Faridabad.
“Our investigation has revealed that the gang used to lure innocent girls, promising to marry them but would sexually exploit them and later dump them,” said Vijay Kumar, SHO of Old Faridabad Police Station.
The July 29 case was being handled by the DLF branch of Crime Investigating Agency (CIA). “We had information that only one girl was in the custody of the gang, but our teams were surprised to recover three,” Singh said.
The medical examination of two recovered girls has confirmed rape, police said. They are yet to find out whether the third minor was also raped.
The police have launched a manhunt to arrest other gang members identified as Ash Mohd, Sanu, Muna, Raju Sharma and Apu. Source
