2 minor girls rescued, six held
Sambalpur, May 29 : Police rescued two minor girls from the clutch of an inter-state women trafficking racket and arrested six people from the railway station here.
Sambalpur SDPO Dillip Kumar Deo said of six arrested, four were from Madhya Pradesh, besides two local pimps--Champa Pradhan and Sheshadev Pradhan.
Mr Deo said girls belonged to Kisinda police station of Sambalpur district and were sisters.
Police said the girls were married to two youths of Madhya Pradesh-Paramlal Dube and Narendra Awasti on May 26 last in a hush hush manner.
Police, acting on a tip off arrested them, while they were waiting at the Sambalpur railway station to board a train to Madhya Pradesh.
Mr Deo said the poor girls were lured to marry the outsiders promising them a comfortable life for their daughters with a plan to engage them in flesh trade.
