Trafficked girl rescued from Mumbai
The growing of women trafficking in Salakati area in Kokrajhar district becomes a matter of concern. The luring of girls from the area by agents has been continuing but the networkings of the agents have not been tackled as yet despite locals have been demanding to cruch down the trafficking networks. A fresh fact comes to light in Salakati as one young girl Surjya Bhanu (18years) , daughter of Sahjahan Ali of Sandyagaon under Salakati police station was fortunately rescued and brought back home from Mumbai on December 23 by police after intense pressure from the local people and filling of case vide No – 22/10 under section 420/366/34 IPC. Bhanu was lured away by traffick agents- Anwar Hussain alias Barobabu, Mridul Sheik and Fuljan Bibi alias Fuly of Majidpara, Salakati to Mumbai five months ago with promising lucrative job. Local people said that the agents were backed by- Aysha Bibi, Saritulla Sheik, Pinki Begum and Wahab Ali of the same village.
