Rackets in flesh trade flourishing
This was exposed when two girls turned up before the DIG Lalji Shukla on Thursday and revealed how they managed to escape from the clutches of their buyers in Haryana. The girl also made sensational revelations about the kingpins of the rackets after which the DIG called on the women police and asked to investigate the matter.
Rukhsana and Resham (names changed) turned up before the DIG on Thursday afternoon. According to Rukhsana, her paternal village was in Ghazipur district but she dwelt here with her parents. About five months back her parents left the city leaving her alone. She worked at a hospital in Sundarpur area to earn livelihood. She said that while working there she came in contact of Nimmi Khan alias Muskan, who visited the hospital frequently.
One day she asked about my earning and proposed me to join her for better earning, Rukhsana said adding, but after accepting the invitation of Muskan she had landed in troubled water. She recalled how Muskan and her husband, Vivak Narain Singh alias Rajan tortured her for indulging in flesh trade. Rukhsana said that whenever she tried to flee from their clutches, they threatened to treat like Renu.
She claimed that Renu was brutally murdered and her body was thrown in Mirzamurad area after tying in a bedroll a few months back. Despite massive efforts of the police, her identity could not ascertained.
She revealed that in December the couple took her to Delhi after which she was sold to a person in Revari (Haryana) for Rs 50,000. Five days back she succeeded in dodging her buyer and reached the nearest railway station, she said adding, the railway officials helped her to reach Varanasi. Even after reaching here she changed her hideout continuously.
She claimed that she had tried to seek help of district police three months back but no one paid attention towards her complaints. Resham, who also worked in a house in Sundarpur area to earn livelihood after the death of her father, also made similar revelations.
Taking a serious note of their complaints, the DIG called on the women police and ordered to probe into the matter. After it Resham returned to her residence. Rukhsana was sent to women police station. Shukla said that the police would probe into the case after which appropriate action would be initiated. Where Rukhsana would stay? The DIG said that this would also be decided by the women police.
