Man arrested at Kolkata airport for human trafficking
A young man was arrested at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport here yesterday evening for alleged human trafficking, officials said.
Immigration officials held the man hailing from Uttar Pradesh, against whom there was a look-out notice by the UP police, when he was trying to board a Bangkok flight with four others.
The man had promised to arrange jobs for the others abroad in return for payment of money, the officials said.The four were also taken into custody, the officials added.
