Two minor girls rescued one arrested from Gujarat
In a case of abduction and sale of girls for forced marriage, a 26-year-old Gujarat resident was arrested by the Mumbai police for buying and raping a 22-year-old woman. The police also rescued two 17-year-old girls.
Two minor girls from Mumbai, who had been taken to Gujarat and forcibly married, have been rescued by police from Ahmedabad.
Following a complaint lodged by another girl, who had also been taken to Gujarat along with the two minor girls, Mumbai police nabbed one accused within 24 hours on April 16.
"A woman, identified as Meera Salve, had promised to provide a job to the three girls. The girls, residents of Wadi Bundar of south Mumbai, were then taken to Gujarat. However, once they reached, the girls were forced into marriage,"
one of the victims managed to escape from the clutches of the accused and reached Mumbai. She then approached us and filed a complaint on April 15,

As per the information, the prime accused in the case Meera Salve, a resident of Kalyan, has fled to Dhulia in north Maharashtra.
An FIR has been filed under relevant sections of the IPC, police said.
