Police search for missing brides
Police in Hunan Province say they have launched an investigation into the disappearance of around a hundred Vietnamese women who had been bought as wives.
Media reports said some husbands of the missing women received phone calls telling them to pay ransoms or the women would be sold again.
The public security bureau in Shuangfeng County said it had set up a special team to investigate suspected human trafficking and marriage fraud.
