Gang busted, minor rescued in Haryana
The incident became known during late evening hours of Thursday when a police party headed by station house officer (SHO) of Gharaunda policestation recovered a 13-year-old girl, who managed to escape from the custody of two men in Raipur Jatan.
Two youths, Suresh a resident of same village and his friend Suresh from Karnal, made a foiled attempt to abuse her after an Ambala resident women dropped her at their house, after a deal. The girl narrated the entire sequence of events to villagers, who gathered after hearing her cries. Villagers called the police who took the accused youth in custody and later arrested Babli alias Aruna, the accused woman.
A resident of Ambala, Babbli aka Aruna had brought victim from Delhi on the pretext of getting her employed at a farmhouse.
"The girl was handed over to them after Babbli finalized the deal with the two youths. All the three have confessed the crime and are at present lodged in police custody," said SHO Ram Chander. Investigations are in progress and we are trying to ascertain her involvement in other cases as well, added the SHO. TOI
