Five Nepali girls rescued in Delhi
May 21 (IANS) Five Nepali girls, including two minors, were rescued from the captivity of two Nepali nationals in south Delhi, police said Saturday.
The accused – Ghulam Gilani Khan, 22, and Abhikeshar, 24, – were arrested from New Friends Colony area, said police.
According to police, the girls were brought to the capital May 15 via Patna by a woman, Meena, on promise of employment. However, they were confined to a house in Julaina in south Delhi since arrival.
‘The girls were supposed to be either employed as domestic helps or to be sold abroad,’ a police official said.
Another accused, Chakra Bahadur Gurang who brought the girls from Patna to Delhi, is missing and on the run, added police. Source
