15 held for human trafficking, 6 girls rescued
Neemuch, MP, Apr 6 : Fifteen people were arrested for human trafficking and six girls rescued from their clutches in three separate instances in this district, police said.
"Rukmani Banchhra and her alleged husband Bherulal were arrested from Chaplana village yesterday. Anita (8) and Sonu (15) were rescued. Both were purchased from Jhalawad and Malhargarh in Rajasthan," Sub-Divisional Officer of Police (Manasa block) Samir Yadav said.
Likewise, Draupadi, her husband Babulal and son Jagdish Banchhra were arrested from Moya village and Anchal (8), Sangeeta (10) and Heena (11) were rescued.
Two of them were purchased for Rs 60,000 each and one girl for Rs 84,000 from Udaipur in Rajasthan.
Kusum (5), who was sold by her father for Rs 8,000 to Pancibai Banchhra, was rescued from her home in Chandrapura village. The culprits had fake documents of adoption for protecting themselves from police.
A total of 15 people were arrested in three instances. The rescued children had been sent to Mandsaur-based 'Apna Ghar'.
