Sold for R 5000 in Delhi, Orissa girl escapes to reach Indore
Indore : A girl from Orissa, who was recently sold by her neighbour in Delhi for Rs 5000, arrived in Indore on Friday afternoon after escaping from the clutches of her buyers.
And to add to the woes of the girl, she was troubled by miscreants as soon as she arrived at the Indore railway station. However, a passer-by, Suresh Chauhan, did come to her rescue.
Chauhan took the girl to the GRP police station at around 3.30 pm. He told GRP TI P S Sandhu that some miscreants were troubling her in Indore-Ratlam train at the railway station.
After the police inquired, the girl said that her name was Kajal and hailed from Mitrapur in Orissa. She further said that her neighbour Poonam took her to Delhi last week and sold her to one Shankar Enterprises for Rs 5000.
She said that after managing to escape from there, she boarded a train from Nizamuddin station and reached Indore. Bhashkar
