Two minors rescued from kidnappers by RPF
New Delhi, Nov 11 (PTI) Prompt and timely action taken by Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel helped in nabbing three kidnappers and rescuing two minor girls from Andhra Pradesh recently.
According to RPF, there was a call from the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Vanastalipuram, Hyderabad at about 8.30 pm on November 5 to the Zonal Security Control Room at Secunderabad that three kidnappers along with two kidnapped minor girls were travelling in S-10 coach of Yushvantapur-Gorakhpur train.
After receiving the message, the RPF Sub-Inspector on duty in the Security Control Room promptly alerted the Divisional Security Control Room at Jhansi accordingly.
Acting on this information, an RPF Inspector and his team at Jhansi swung into action and detained all the three kidnappers along with the two girls on arrival of the train at Jhansi at 1 am on November 6.
The kidnappers and the rescued girls were handed over to the Andhra Police personnel subsequently.
