Couple humiliated publicly for selling minor girl

| A couple was humiliated publicly by being taken around on donkeys with their faces blackened on the orders of a community panchayat for selling a minor girl in Tukhmanpur village in Nagina area here. | |
| The faces of Yunus and his wife Nooda were blackened and they were made to sit on donkeys and taken around the village on orders of the community panchayat yesterday, police said. The panchayat, held at the village pradhan's house, passed the order after it was learnt that the couple had sold a 15-year-old girl to a man in a neighbouring village, Superintendent of Police Mahesh Mishra said. The police reached the village after getting information about the incident and took the couple and another man into their custody, he said.
